Tiles 2
June 18th, 2012 by richardWay back in March we picked up a pile of old tiles (azulejos). We used some of them around the tree we put in the courtyard (see Tiles) but we had plenty left. In the traditional Portuguese style we decided to cover a wall, or at least part of it behind the orange tree in the courtyard.
…and the tree hasn’t done too bad since March either

That looks great. I particularly like the large panels on the wall, random can be quite hard to arrange so it still looks random and yet balanced, if you know what I mean. I really regretted not bringing tiles back from Portugal the last time I visited, I just love the look of them.
